Maliyah House: I would recommend that students get involved in as many extracurricular activities as possible. These activities could be related to your field of study or not. For example, you could join a professional organization or volunteer for a cause that you are passionate about. Getting involved in extracurricular activities shows employers that you are a well-rounded individual and that you are passionate about something other than just your degree.

ClimbtheLadder: What type of person is successful and thrives in an Advertising career?

Maliyah House: A successful Advertising career requires creativity, innovation, and the ability to think outside the box. You need to be able to come up with new and unique ideas that will capture the attention of your target audience. You also need to be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

ClimbtheLadder: What was the most challenging course you took? What advice would you give to students who are about to start this course?

Maliyah House: The most challenging course I took was my advertising campaign management course. In this course, we had to manage an actual advertising campaign from start to finish. This included developing the creative, managing the budget, and executing the campaign.

My advice to students who are about to start this course is to be prepared to work hard and be organized. This course is very hands-on and you will be working on your campaign every day. Make sure to create a schedule for yourself and stick to it.
