I realized that the reason it was initially attractive was because of the company’s recent acquisition. The company had recently bought out another firm, which increased their revenue substantially. However, they hadn’t yet integrated the new business, which meant there was no way to know if the increase would be sustainable.

After researching more about the acquisition, I learned that the company had been buying up smaller firms for years. They had a history of integrating these businesses successfully, which led me to believe that the recent acquisition would have lasting effects.
