Cabin Crew Resume Example & Writing Guide

Use this Cabin Crew resume example and guide to improve your career and write a powerful resume that will separate you from the competition.

Cabin crew members are responsible for ensuring that passengers have a safe and comfortable flight. They’re out on the tarmac before takeoff, greeting passengers as they board the plane, and assisting with luggage. Once everyone’s onboard, cabin crew members make sure everyone’s comfortable and have what they need before takeoff. They also serve food and drinks, provide safety instructions during takeoff and landing, and provide customer service for in-flight issues.

Because cabin crew members work in such a fast-paced environment, it’s important that they’re able to think on their feet and act quickly when needed. They need to be friendly, patient, and outgoing—but also able to keep their cool in stressful situations. And because cabin crew members work with passengers on a daily basis, it’s important that they have strong interpersonal skills.

Here are some tips and an example for writing a compelling cabin crew resume that will help you land interviews with airlines.

How to Write a Cabin Crew Resume

Here’s how to write a cabin crew resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

Bullet points are the most effective way to showcase your experience and qualifications. And when it comes to airline jobs, you have to be especially specific and descriptive.

For example, rather than saying you “assisted passengers with baggage,” you could say you “assisted 20 passengers with baggage during busy pre-departure period, ensuring all bags were loaded onto plane within 15 minutes of departure.”

The second bullet point is much stronger because it provides specific details about what you did and the results of your work.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

Most airlines use an applicant tracking system (ATS) to screen resumes. This software looks for certain keywords related to the job opening. If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, the ATS might automatically reject your application.

To increase your chances of getting an interview, use this list of common cabin crew keywords as a starting point:

  • Aviation
  • Cabin Crewing
  • Flight Safety
  • Airline Industry
  • Aircraft Maintenance
  • Airlines
  • Aviation Safety
  • Flight Planning

Showcase Your Technical Skills

As a cabin crew member, you will need to be proficient in a variety of software programs and systems in order to do your job effectively. This might include familiarity with flight booking and reservation systems, as well as experience with customer service software. Additionally, many airlines now use social media platforms to communicate with customers, so it is important that you are familiar with these platforms.

Some of the programs and systems that cabin crew members are typically expected to be proficient in include:

– Flight booking and reservation systems – Customer service software – Social media platforms – Airline specific software
