I tried to be patient at first, but after several weeks of hearing the same complaints from them, I decided it was time to have a conversation with them. I asked if we could meet for coffee so we could talk about their concerns. We talked for over an hour, and by the end of our meeting, they apologized for being so harsh on me and promised to stop criticizing my work.”
