Write Compelling Bullet Points

Bullet points are the most important part of your resume because they’re the first thing recruiters and hiring managers will see. And they’re the best way to showcase your experience and qualifications.

So it’s crucial that you use them to your advantage. And the best way to do that is to use them to describe your experience and accomplishments. So rather than saying you “managed projects,” you could say you “managed $10M+ engineering projects for Fortune 500 clients, resulting in zero project delays and a 98% client satisfaction rate.”

The second bullet point is much more specific and provides more detail about what exactly you did and the results of your work. And that’s what makes it so much stronger than the first bullet point.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you apply for a job as a CFD engineer, your resume is likely to go through an applicant tracking system (ATS). This system will scan your resume for certain keywords related to the position, like “fluid dynamics” or “computational modeling.” If your resume doesn’t have enough of the right keywords, the ATS might not submit it to the hiring manager.
