How to Write a Childrens Pastor Resume

Here’s how to write a children’s pastor resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

The best way to make your resume stand out is to use strong, specific language. Rather than saying you “led children’s ministry,” you could say you “led weekly children’s ministry programs for 150 children ages 3-5, resulting in a 10% increase in weekly attendance over the course of one year.”

The second bullet point is much stronger because it provides specific numbers and details about what you did and the results of your work.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

Most children’s pastor roles require that you submit your resume through an online application system. This means that the software will scan your resume for specific keywords related to the job opening. If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, your application might not make it past the initial screening process.
