ClimbtheLadder: How did you make the most of your Christian Leadership degree program so that it prepared you for post-graduation jobs?

Alden Tyler: I think the most important thing I did was to get involved in as many leadership opportunities as I could while I was in school. I was a part of the student government, I led a small group, and I was involved in a number of different ministries on campus.

I think the best way to prepare for a career in Christian leadership is to get as much experience as you can while you’re still in school. There are so many opportunities to lead while you’re in college, and I think it’s important to take advantage of those opportunities.

ClimbtheLadder: What should students interested in Christian Leadership be good at?

Alden Tyler: I think the most important thing for students interested in Christian Leadership is to have a passion for God and a desire to see His Kingdom grow. Without that, it’s going to be very difficult to succeed in this field.

In addition, students should be good at communication, both written and verbal. They should be able to articulate their thoughts clearly and concisely. They should also be good at problem-solving and be able to think on their feet.
