How to Write a Community Associate Resume

Write Compelling Bullet Points

When you’re writing bullet points, it can be tempting to focus on the tasks you performed. But that’s not always the most effective approach.

For example, rather than saying you “provided customer service,” you could say that you “assisted customers with questions about products and services, provided recommendations, and resolved issues to ensure a positive customer experience.”

The second bullet point is more specific and provides more detail about what exactly you did. And it also includes an example of how you helped customers—which is always a good thing!

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you apply for a community associate role, your resume is likely to go through an applicant tracking system (ATS). This system will scan your resume for certain keywords related to the position in order to determine whether your skills and experience are a match. If you don’t have enough relevant keywords on your resume, the ATS might discard your application.
