How to Write a CRM Specialist Resume

Here’s how to write a resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

The best way to make your resume stand out is to use specific examples and numbers. So rather than saying you “managed customer accounts,” you could say that you “managed customer accounts for top-tier luxury hotel chain, resulting in a 10% increase in customer retention rate over 18-month period.”

The second bullet point is much stronger because it provides specific details about what you did, the results of your work, and the length of time over which you did it.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you apply for a job as a CRM specialist, your resume is likely to be scanned by an applicant tracking system (ATS) for certain keywords. ATS programs rank resumes based on how many of the desired keywords are found within the applicant’s resume. If your resume doesn’t have enough relevant keywords, the ATS might discard your application.

The best way to make sure that your resume includes the right keywords is to read through job postings and take note of the terms and phrases that are used most frequently. Then, use those same terms in your resume. Here are some common CRM specialist keywords to get you started:

  • Salesforce.com Administration
  • Salesforce.com
  • Salesforce.com Implementation
  • Salesforce.com Development
  • Salesforce.com Consulting
  • CRM
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Salesforce.com Training
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Salesforce Training
  • Apex Data Loader
  • Salesforce.com Customization
  • Customer Service
  • SQL
  • Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Apex Programming
  • Business Analysis
  • Technical Support
  • Sales
  • Marketing
  • Business Intelligence (BI)
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Sales Process
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Implementation
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Management
  • Team Leadership
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Process Management
  • Business Process Improvement

Showcase Your Technical Skills

As a CRM specialist, you need to be proficient in the use of customer relationship management (CRM) software. This software is used to track customer interactions, manage customer data, and generate reports. CRM specialists need to be able to use CRM software to its full potential in order to be effective in their jobs.

Some of the most popular CRM software programs include Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and Oracle. If you have experience with any of these programs, be sure to list them on your resume. You should also list any other relevant technical skills, such as experience with data mining, reporting, and analytics.
