1. Do you have experience working with children?

2. How would you handle a parent who wanted their child to train in an area that is unsafe for them?

7. Tell me about a time that you had to deal with a difficult customer, what did you do?

9. Are you CPR certified?

The interviewer may ask this question to see if you have the necessary skills and qualifications for working at Crunch Fitness. If you are not CPR certified, consider taking a course before your interview so that you can show the hiring manager that you’re committed to learning new things.

Example: “I am very comfortable using all four of those social media platforms. I’ve been using Facebook for years to connect with friends and family. I also use Instagram to post pictures of my workouts and healthy meals. On Twitter, I like to share inspirational quotes and tips on staying fit. Finally, I started using Snapchat last year when I was working at Crunch Fitness. It’s fun to send quick videos of myself doing different exercises.”

14. Explain how you could help grow our business by bringing new members into our club?

Crunch Fitness is looking for candidates who can help grow their business by bringing in new members. This question helps them determine if you have the skills and knowledge to do so. Use your answer to highlight your sales experience, communication skills and ability to work with customers.

Example: “I believe that my customer service skills would be a great asset to helping you grow your business. I am confident that I could use my communication skills to listen to what potential clients want from Crunch Fitness and show them why they should join. My sales experience has taught me how to sell products or services to people of all fitness levels. 15. Describe a situation where you felt uncomfortable but knew you needed to stay professional?

18. When was the last time you took a continuing education class?

Continuing education classes are a great way to learn new skills and improve your current ones. Employers may ask this question to see if you’re committed to continuing your education in the fitness industry. If you’ve taken any classes recently, be sure to mention them. If not, you can explain that you plan on taking some soon.

Example: “I took a class last year on how to use kettlebells more effectively. I found it very helpful, so I started incorporating kettlebell exercises into my clients’ workouts. I’m planning on taking another class later this year about weight training for seniors.”

19. Can you tell me about a time when you handled a disagreement between two clients?

This question can help interviewers understand how you handle conflict and whether or not you have experience resolving it. When answering, try to focus on the steps you took to resolve the situation and highlight your communication skills.

Example: “At my previous job, I had a client who was upset with me because she felt like I wasn’t listening to her concerns about her workout routine. She wanted to know why we weren’t doing more for her, but I explained that our trainers were following the plan she’d signed up for. After talking with her for a few minutes, I realized that she didn’t fully understand what we do here at Crunch Fitness. I spent some time explaining our philosophy and how our programs work. By the end of our conversation, she understood and left happy.”

20. How would you make sure that all of your clients hit their fitness goals?

Crunch Fitness wants to know that you can help their clients achieve their fitness goals. Use your answer to show the hiring manager how you would create a plan for each client and ensure they meet their objectives.

Example: “I always start by asking my clients what their current fitness level is, what their goals are and what type of exercise they enjoy doing. From there, I develop a personalized workout program based on their answers. For example, if someone says they want to lose weight, I’ll design a program that focuses on cardio exercises. If they say they want to build muscle, I’ll focus more on strength training.”
