The best way to make your resume stand out is to use specific examples and numbers. So rather than saying you “managed customer accounts,” you could say that you “managed customer accounts for top-tier B2B software company, resulting in a 10% increase in customer retention rate over 18 months.”

The second bullet point is much stronger because it provides specific details about what you did, the results of your work, and the timeframe over which you did it.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

Applicant tracking systems (ATS) are used by many companies to screen resumes. When you submit your resume, the ATS will search for certain keywords related to the job opening.
