Makena Le: The biggest takeaway I got from my data analytics program was the ability to think critically about data. I learned how to ask the right questions to get the insights that I needed. I also learned a variety of statistical methods and how to use different data visualization tools to communicate my findings.

Makena Le: I believe that a successful data analyst is someone who is able to take data and turn it into insights that can help drive business decisions. A successful data analyst is also someone who is able to effectively communicate those insights to non-technical stakeholders.
ClimbtheLadder: What was the most challenging course you took? What advice would you give to students who are about to start this course?
Makena Le: The most challenging course I took was my capstone course. This is the course where you put all of the knowledge you’ve gained throughout the program to use and create a project that solves a real-world problem.
My advice for students who are about to start their capstone course is to start early and to not be afraid to ask for help from your professors and classmates. The capstone course is a lot of work, but it’s also a great opportunity to show off what you’ve learned and to get creative.
