How to Write a Gate Agent Resume

Here’s how to write a gate agent resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

Bullet points are the most effective way to showcase your experience and qualifications. But rather than simply listing your responsibilities, you can use bullet points to tell a story about your work.

For example, rather than saying you “assisted passengers with baggage,” you could say you “provided customer service to more than 200 passengers per day, helping them with their luggage and providing directions to their destinations.”

The second bullet point paints a clearer picture of what your job entailed and also provides a specific number to demonstrate how busy the environment was.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you apply for a job as a gate agent, your resume is likely to go through an applicant tracking system (ATS). This program will scan your resume for certain keywords related to the position, like “customer service” or “airlines.” If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, the ATS might automatically reject your application.
