ICON Creative Studio Interview Process

The interview process at ICON Creative Studio is efficient and friendly. First, email communication is established and then a video call meeting is set up. The interviewee will be interviewed by the director of a show and discussed their history briefly and also casually talked about the type of work. They sometimes cannot disclose the name of a project if it hasn’t yet been announced by client so they give you a description. After that, they hand you over to a call with HR to discuss salary expectations. And also discussions about the visa process if you are not a Canadusn citizen. 1. What is your favorite software to use?

3. What are some of your favorite animations that you have worked on and why?

7. What was your biggest challenge as an animator?

12. Are you familiar with Unreal Engine 4?

This question is a great way to test your knowledge of the ICON Creative Studio. Unreal Engine 4 is one of the most popular game engines in the world, and it’s used by many developers at ICON. If you’re interviewing for a position that requires you to use this software, it’s important to show that you have experience with it.

14. What kind of experience do you have with character rigging?

18. If hired, which area of animation are you most interested in?

This question helps employers determine which area of animation you are most passionate about. It also allows them to see if your skills and interests align with the job description. When answering this question, be honest about what areas interest you the most. If you have experience in multiple areas, explain how you would use those skills to benefit ICON Creative Studio.

19. What can you tell us about the history of animation?

When answering this question, it can be helpful to mention something that you have experience with and something that you would love to do in the future.

Example: “My dream project would be creating an entire brand from scratch. I’ve done some freelance branding before, but I would love to create a full brand for a company or organization. I think it’s important to have a cohesive brand identity, so I would love to take my skills to the next level.”
