4. How would you deal with an upset customer?

7. Describe how you prioritize tasks when under pressure.

10. If hired, what contributions could you bring to our company?

11. Are you comfortable lifting heavy objects?

This included hiring vendors, setting up booths and attractions and making sure everything ran smoothly on opening day. One year, we were hit with some bad weather that caused us to cancel the midway rides portion of the fair. I took initiative by contacting other fairgrounds within our state to see if they could loan us their rides so we could still provide that part of the fair.”

13. What is your favorite product that we sell here at JYSK?

This question is a great way to see if you have done your research on the company. It also allows you to show off your knowledge of the products and services that JYSK offers. When answering this question, make sure to mention what makes it your favorite product and how you would use it in an exhibition or fair setting.

Example: “My favorite product from JYSK is the E-Z Fold Table because I find it so versatile. The table can be folded up for easy transportation but then easily set up by one person. This is especially helpful when working with large groups of people at events. I’ve used these tables before and they are very sturdy and durable.”

14. Give an example of a time where you had to use basic math skills on the job.

Math skills are important for many jobs, including retail. Employers ask this question to make sure you have the necessary math skills to succeed in their company. 15. When was the last time you received a compliment from a customer or coworker?

16. As a store manager, it is important to be able to motivate your employees. How would you go about doing this?

This question is an opportunity to show your leadership skills and how you can motivate others. When answering this question, it can be helpful to give specific examples of how you motivated your team in the past.

Example: “I believe that motivating employees starts with showing them appreciation for their hard work. I would make sure to thank my employees for a job well done on a regular basis. In addition to verbal praise, I would also offer small rewards or incentives for reaching certain goals.”

17. In which area do you think you need improvement?
