Write Compelling Bullet Points

When you’re writing bullet points, it can be tempting to simply list your responsibilities. But that’s not enough to make a strong impression. Instead, you should use your bullet points to demonstrate your value by including quantifiable details about your work.

For example, rather than saying you “provided care for dogs and cats,” you could say that you “provided care for 20 dogs and cats every day, ensuring they received proper nutrition, exercise, and grooming according to owner instructions.”

The second bullet point paints a much clearer picture of what your job entailed. And it provides a clear indication of the number of animals you cared for every day—which is a very important detail for a kennel technician!

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you apply for a job as a kennel technician, your resume is likely to go through an applicant tracking system (ATS).
