How to Write a Luxury Real Estate Agent Resume

Here’s how to write a resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

Bullet points are the most effective way to showcase your experience and qualifications. But rather than simply listing your responsibilities, you can make your bullet points much more interesting by using them to tell a story about a project you worked on or a specific outcome you achieved.

For example, rather than saying you “managed client accounts,” you could say that you “managed 10+ client accounts with combined annual revenue of $10 million, resulting in a 15% increase in sales year over year.”

The second bullet point is much more interesting and provides a lot more detail about what exactly you did and the results of your work.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you submit your resume to a luxury real estate agent, the company will likely use an applicant tracking system (ATS) to screen resumes. This program looks for certain keywords related to the job opening in order to rank candidates. If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, your application might not make it to a recruiter.

One way to make sure your resume includes the right keywords is to read through the job posting and take note of the terms and phrases that are used most frequently. Then, you can incorporate those same words into your resume. Here are some common keywords for luxury real estate agent positions:

  • Real Estate
  • Investment Properties
  • Sellers
  • Residential Real Estate
  • Working with First-Time Home Buyers
  • Real Estate Transactions
  • Buyer Representation
  • Single Family Homes
  • Condos
  • Short Sales
  • Foreclosures
  • Listings
  • Relocation
  • New Home Sales
  • Referrals
  • Listing Homes
  • Real Estate Owned (REO)
  • Working with Investors
  • Negotiation
  • Commercial Real Estate
  • Sales
  • Marketing
  • Customer Service
  • Real Estate Development
  • Contract Negotiation
  • Business Planning
  • Business Development
  • Strategic Planning
  • Working with Brokers
  • Management

Showcase Your Technical Skills

As a luxury real estate agent, you need to be proficient in a number of software programs and systems in order to do your job effectively. This might include customer relationship management (CRM) software, transaction management software, and real estate marketing platforms. You should also be familiar with social media platforms, as luxury real estate agents often use these platforms to market their properties and services.
