Motormen work on the locomotives that move freight and passengers along the nation’s railways. They are responsible for the safe operation of the locomotive and must have a thorough understanding of the train’s braking and signaling systems.

Motormen must also be able to effectively communicate with the train’s conductor, who is responsible for the safe operation of the entire train. In some cases, the motorman may be responsible for the train’s cargo as well.

Are you comfortable driving a large vehicle?

How would you handle a situation where a passenger was being disruptive on your route?
