How to Write an NDT Technician Resume

Here’s how to write an ndt technician resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

When you’re writing bullet points, it can be tempting to simply list your responsibilities and duties. But that’s not enough to make a strong impression. Instead, you should use your bullet points to demonstrate your value by highlighting your accomplishments, results, and contributions.

For example, rather than saying you “conducted radiation surveys,” you could say you “conducted radiation surveys of residential neighborhood to identify sources of radiation and reduce exposure levels for residents.”

The second bullet point paints a much clearer picture of what the job entailed and how you contributed to the organization.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

Applicant tracking systems (ATS) are used by many companies to help manage the recruitment process. When you submit your resume, the ATS will scan it for specific keywords related to the job opening. If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, your application might not make it past the initial screening process.

One way to make sure your resume contains the right keywords is to read through the job posting and take note of the terms that are repeated most often. Then, work those keywords into your resume where they are most relevant. Here are some common NDT technician keywords:

  • Nondestructive Testing (NDT)
