How to Write an Orderly Resume

Here’s how to write an orderly resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

Bullet points are the most effective way to showcase your experience and qualifications. But rather than simply listing your responsibilities, you can make your bullet points much more interesting and compelling by using specific details and numbers.

For example, rather than saying you “assisted patients in the hospital,” you could say that you “provided care for more than 50 patients per day in a busy emergency room, prioritizing urgent cases and ensuring all patients received timely care.”

The second bullet point paints a much clearer picture of what the job entailed and what level of responsibility and skill was required to do it well.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

Chances are, your resume will go through an applicant tracking system (ATS) when you apply for an orderly role. This system will search for certain keywords related to the job in order to determine whether or not you are a good fit. If your resume doesn’t have enough of the right keywords, the ATS might automatically reject your application.
