Common PartnerHero Interview Questions

1. Do you have any experience with customer service?

This question can help the interviewer determine your experience with customer service and how you interact with customers. If you have previous experience, share a story about a time when you helped a customer or client solve a problem. If you don’t have any experience, explain what you would do if a customer had an issue with their order.

Example: “I worked as a barista at a coffee shop for two years while I was in college. During my time there, I learned that it’s important to listen to the customer and ask questions to understand exactly what they need. For example, one time a customer ordered a hot chocolate but didn’t want whipped cream on top. When I asked why, they said they were allergic to dairy. By asking questions, I could make sure they got exactly what they wanted.”

2. How well do you work under pressure?

Working as a partnerhero can be stressful at times. Employers ask this question to make sure you have the ability to work under pressure and still perform well. In your answer, explain how you manage stress and stay productive when things get hectic.

Example: “I thrive in high-pressure situations. I am someone who is naturally organized and efficient. When things start to get busy, I know exactly what to do and how to prioritize my tasks. This helps me keep everything on track even when there are many projects going on at once. I also find that working under pressure motivates me to complete tasks quickly so I can move onto the next thing.”

3. Give an example of a time when you had to deal with an upset or angry customer, how did you handle it?

Interviewers may ask this question to see how you handle conflict and stress. They want to know that you can remain calm under pressure, so it’s important to answer honestly about your past experiences.

Example: “In my previous role as a customer service representative, I had an upset customer who was calling me multiple times per day. At first, I tried to be polite and helpful, but after several days of the same issue, I realized he wasn’t going to stop until he got what he wanted. So, I told him we would give him a full refund if he returned the product within 30 days. He agreed, and I never heard from him again.”

4. Are you comfortable working in a fast-paced environment?

Working in a law firm can be fast-paced, and employers ask this question to make sure you’re comfortable with that. If you have experience working in a high-pressure environment, share it with the interviewer. If you haven’t worked in a fast-paced environment before, explain how you would adapt to one.

Example: “I’ve worked in a busy environment for most of my career, so I’m used to it. In my last role, we had a lot of work to do every day, so I learned to prioritize tasks and manage my time well. I think I’d be able to adjust to your firm’s pace if needed.”

We were running low on several sizes of one style of jeans, so I asked my manager if anyone could go to the back room to get more pairs. Unfortunately, no one else was available to do it, so I volunteered to go. It took me about 10 minutes to find all the pairs of jeans in our inventory that matched the ones we needed to restock.
