It can be challenging to get everyone on the same page at first, but once we do, our projects tend to go more smoothly. After completing the course, he created his own website and learned how to code websites professionally.”

Example: “I think the most important skill for a sales person is empathy. I’ve found that when I’m able to understand my clients’ needs and concerns, it makes it easier to find solutions for them. In my last position as a sales representative, I was working with a client who needed a new phone system for their business. They were having trouble deciding between two different systems, so I asked questions about what they liked and disliked about each one. After hearing more about their company’s goals, I was able to recommend a third option that met all of their needs.”

10. Describe a time that you made a mistake on an assignment and how you handled it.

Poly is looking for candidates who are willing to admit their mistakes and learn from them. This question can help the interviewer determine how you handle failure, which is an important skill in any job.

Example: “In my first semester of college, I was taking a business ethics class that required us to write a paper on a specific ethical dilemma. I chose to write about a situation where I had to choose between two jobs, one with a company that didn’t have great benefits but paid well and another with a company that offered better benefits but paid less. When it came time to turn in my assignment, I realized that I hadn’t actually experienced this scenario. I spoke with my professor, and he allowed me to rewrite the assignment.”

Example: “I am an excellent communicator, which is why I love working in customer service. I was able to provide them with all the necessary information, which helped them launch the campaign successfully.”

14. What is one thing you want us to remember about you?

This question is a great way to show your personality and unique qualities. It also allows you to talk about what makes you different from other candidates. When answering this question, try to think of something that will make the interviewer remember you positively.

15. Give an example of a situation when you were not able to meet a deadline.

This question can help the interviewer understand how you handle stressful situations and your ability to prioritize tasks. In your answer, try to highlight a specific example of when you were able to overcome challenges to meet deadlines or goals.

Example: “In my previous role as an account manager for a marketing agency, I was tasked with creating a campaign that would increase sales by 20% within six months. At first, I thought this goal was attainable, but after further research, I realized it would be more difficult than anticipated. I presented my findings to my supervisor, who agreed that we should scale back our expectations to 10%. After working on the project for several weeks, I was able to successfully implement strategies that helped us reach our new goal.”

16. If hired, what would be your approach to selling the company’s products?

This question is an opportunity to show your sales skills and how you would approach a new client. Your answer should include the steps you would take to sell Poly’s products, including what information you would gather from potential clients and how you would use it to make a sale.

Example: “I would first find out what their needs are for our product. I would ask questions about their current communication methods and why they’re looking for a new solution. Then, I would explain the benefits of using Poly’s services over other solutions. If they seem interested in learning more, I would provide them with additional resources like case studies or testimonials that support my claims.”

17. Provide an example of a software development project you have worked on.

This question is an opportunity to show the interviewer your technical skills. You can describe a project you worked on that was challenging or unique and how you overcame any obstacles.

Example: “I recently completed a software development project for a client who wanted to create a mobile app that would allow users to order food from their favorite restaurants. The challenge with this project was that the client didn’t have a website, so I had to design the entire application from scratch. I started by creating wireframes of the user interface and then moved into coding the front-end and back-end of the application. After testing the application, I delivered it to my client.”

18. Explain a time when you used data to help make a decision.

This question can help an interviewer understand how you use data to make decisions and whether you have experience with using spreadsheets, databases or other tools.

Example: “At my previous job, I was responsible for managing the company’s social media accounts. One day, I noticed that our Instagram account had fewer followers than our Facebook page. I used a spreadsheet to compare both accounts and found that we were missing about 1,000 followers on Instagram. I then used a database to search for those users by their usernames and found that they followed us on Facebook but not Instagram. I sent them a direct message asking if they would like to follow us on Instagram as well.”

19. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

This question can help the interviewer get to know you better and understand what motivates you. Your answer should highlight your strengths, skills and abilities while also showing that you are proud of your accomplishments.

Example: “My greatest achievement is starting my own business. I started Poly with a partner after working for another company in this industry for five years. We had no idea how much work it would take to start our own company, but we worked hard and overcame many challenges along the way. Now, Poly has grown into a successful company that employs over 50 people.”

20. What would you say is your greatest strength and weakness?

This question is a common one in interviews, and it’s important to be honest. Employers want to know what your greatest strengths are so they can use them when you’re on the job. They also want to know about any weaknesses that you’re working on improving or have already improved.

Example: “My greatest strength is my ability to work well with others. I’m always willing to help out a coworker who needs assistance, and I enjoy collaborating with others to find solutions to problems. My weakness would probably be my attention to detail. While I do my best to proofread everything I write, sometimes I make mistakes. I’ve been taking steps to improve this by using spellcheck more often and asking for feedback from coworkers.”
