How to Write a Production Designer Resume

Here’s how to write a production designer resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

When it comes to your resume, it’s important to be as specific as possible when describing your past work experience. Rather than simply saying you “designed sets for television show,” you could say that you “designed sets for primetime television show on major cable network, including 10-episode season consisting of five episodes filmed in New York City and five episodes filmed in Los Angeles.”

This level of specificity will help hiring managers understand not only what you did but also how you did it. And that can make all the difference when it comes time for them to decide who to interview.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you submit your resume for a production designer role, it’s likely that it will go through an applicant tracking system (ATS).
