RH Interview Process

1. What are your thoughts on the RH brand?

When answering this question, make sure to focus on positive aspects of the brand and avoid any negative ones.

Example: “I think the RH brand is one of the most innovative brands in the industry right now. I love the fact that they’re always coming out with new products and services that help their customers. 2. Do you have experience in retail/sales?

This question is a great way for employers to learn more about your background and experience. If you have retail or sales experience, share what you learned from the job that can help you succeed in this role.

I learned how important it was to be friendly with customers and always greet them when they came through my line. 3. How important is customer service to you?

Example: “Customer service is extremely important to me because I believe it can have a positive impact on a company’s reputation. When I worked at my previous job, I was often the first person people spoke to when they had questions or concerns. I always made sure to listen carefully to what they were saying so I could address their issue as quickly as possible. 4. Have you had any experience working with clients, if so what did you do for them?

I called other stores in my area to see if they carried the item and found one store that did have it. I drove over an hour to pick up the item so that I could deliver it to my customer. They were extremely happy with the item and told me that they would definitely shop at our store again.”

6. Why should we hire you?

This question is a great way to show your confidence and knowledge of the position. It also allows you to highlight some of your skills that are relevant to the role. When answering this question, it can be helpful to list three or four reasons why you would be an excellent fit for the job.

Example: “I am confident that I am the best candidate for this position because of my experience working in human resources. I have worked as a recruiter for five years, which has given me valuable insight into what companies look for when hiring new employees. I also have experience managing teams and overseeing projects, so I know how to work with others to get things done. Finally, I believe my communication skills make me a strong choice for this role.”

7. Tell me about yourself.

This is a common question that interviewers ask to get to know you better. They want to see if your background and experience aligns with the job description. Use this time to highlight your skills, accomplishments and personality traits.

Example: “I grew up in a small town where I was active in my community. I volunteered at the local library as a teenager and helped organize events for children’s story hours. 8. If you could design one piece of furniture or artwork for our stores, what would it be?

It’s important for an HR professional to be able to take initiative and drive projects on their own, so this question helps employers see if you’re capable of doing that. In your answer, explain what drives you to take initiative and complete tasks independently.

Example: “I think I would fit well into that role because I’m used to taking initiative and driving my own projects. At my previous job, I was responsible for creating our company newsletter every month. I enjoyed having that responsibility because it gave me something to work toward each month. I also liked being able to create content that I thought would help employees learn more about the company.”

19. What does great customer service mean to you?

Customer service is an important part of working in human resources. Employers ask this question to make sure you understand the importance of customer service and how it relates to your role as a human resources professional. In your answer, explain what great customer service looks like and why it’s so important. Share a story about a time when you provided excellent customer service or helped someone else provide great customer service.

Example: “Great customer service means providing support that makes customers feel valued. It also means being empathetic and understanding their needs. I think it’s important for HR professionals to be able to empathize with employees and job applicants because we often have to deliver difficult news. For example, I once had to tell an employee they were laid off due to budget cuts. I made sure to give them plenty of notice and offered career coaching services to help them find another job.”

20. What computer programs are you experienced with?

The interviewer may ask this question to see if you have experience with the company’s computer programs. If they do, they will likely want to know that you can use them effectively and efficiently. When answering this question, list any computer programs you are familiar with and explain how you used them in your previous job or personal life.
