6. Which shift are you available to work?

Employers ask this question to make sure you are available for the shift they need. They also want to know if you have any scheduling conflicts that would prevent you from working their preferred hours. When answering this question, be honest about your availability and discuss how you can work with them to find a time that works best for both of you.

Example: “I am available to work all three shifts. I prefer the evening shift because it allows me to spend more time with my family during the day. 11. What would you say is your greatest strength and weakness?

12. Do you recall any linguistic mistakes in games you have played?

14. What qualities should you log for a bug found in a game?

This question tests your problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team. You should explain the steps you would take to solve this issue, as well as how you would communicate with other developers about it.

Example: “I would first try to replicate the bug myself by following the instructions of the game developer. If I could not find the cause of the bug, I would report it to my supervisor or manager so they can inform the game developer. Then, I would wait for further instructions from them on what to do next.”

15. What types of programs do you have experience with?

SABIC is a global company, so it’s likely that you’ll need to use programs in multiple languages. The interviewer may ask this question to see if you have experience with the types of programs they use at SABIC. If you don’t have experience with the specific program they’re looking for, consider mentioning other similar programs you do have experience with.

Example: “I’ve used SAP and Oracle extensively throughout my career. I also have some experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP.”

16. What tools would you use to detect memory leaks in managed and unmanaged code?

This question is a continuation of the previous one and tests your knowledge of debugging tools. You can answer this question by naming two or three tools you would use to detect memory leaks in managed and unmanaged code.

Example: “I would first check for memory leaks using Visual Studio’s debugger, which allows me to monitor the amount of memory used by an application at any given time. I would then use Microsoft CLR Profiler to analyze the performance of applications that run on the Common Language Runtime (CLR). This tool helps me understand how much memory my application uses and whether it has any memory leaks. Finally, I would use PerfView, a free tool from Microsoft, to monitor the performance of .NET applications. It also allows me to find out if there are any memory leaks.”

17. Are you prepared to work with children and the responsibilities that go along with that?

Answer this question by mentioning one or two products that you love, but also mention why you like them. This shows the interviewer that you are passionate about food and can relate it back to SABIC’s mission.
