How to Write a Salesforce Architect Resume

Here’s how to write a resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

When you’re writing bullet points, it can be tempting to focus on the tasks you performed. But that’s not enough to make a strong impression.

Instead, you should focus on the results of your work. For example, rather than saying you “developed Salesforce architecture,” you could say you “developed Salesforce architecture for new customer service platform, resulting in 20% increase in customer satisfaction ratings.”

The second bullet point is much stronger because it provides more detail about what you did and the results of your work. And it also provides a specific number to demonstrate the impact of your work.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you apply for a job as a Salesforce architect, your resume will likely be scanned by an applicant tracking system (ATS) for certain keywords. This program looks for terms related to Salesforce architecture, like “enterprise architecture” and “Salesforce implementation.” If your resume doesn’t include enough of these keywords, the ATS might automatically reject your application.

To increase your chances of getting an interview, use this list of commonly used Salesforce architect keywords as a starting point:

  • Apex Programming
  • SOQL
  • Salesforce.com Administration
  • Salesforce.com Development
  • Visualforce
  • Lightning
  • Salesforce.com Consulting
  • Force.com
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Visualforce Pages
  • Apex Data Loader
  • Salesforce.com
  • Salesforce Lightning
  • Scratchpad
  • Lightning Design System
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Agile Methodologies
  • Salesforce.com Architecture
  • Salesforce.com Development Standards
  • Salesforce.com Training
  • Salesforce Lightning Development
  • Salesforce.com Implementation
  • Technical Sales
  • Salesforce.com Apex
  • Database Design
  • Requirements Analysis
  • SOAP
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Enterprise Software
  • Oracle Database

Showcase Your Technical Skills

As a Salesforce architect, you need to be proficient in the use of Salesforce and its various features. You should also have a solid understanding of how Salesforce integrates with other systems. Additionally, you need to be able to effectively communicate with other members of the Salesforce team, including developers, administrators, and business users.

Some of the skills that you should highlight in your technical skills section include: Salesforce configuration, integration, and development; experience with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning; and knowledge of Salesforce security and data management.
