Scorpion Interview Process

1. How do you keep up to date with the latest marketing trends?

In your answer, share what resources you use to learn about new strategies and tactics. Explain how these resources help you grow professionally.

2. What is your experience working with Google Analytics?

6. How do you think we can better capitalize on our social media presence?

7. What does SEO stand for and why is it important?

It’s important because it allows businesses to reach more customers online. When you answer this question, explain what SEO is and why it’s beneficial to small businesses.

Example: “SEO stands for search engine optimization. This is the process of making changes to your website so that it ranks higher in search engines. For example, if I wanted my business to show up when someone searched for ‘best pizza in town,’ I would optimize my site by including keywords related to pizza in my content. This makes it easier for people searching for local businesses to find me.”

8. We like our employees to be proactive, describe a time where you were proactive in the workplace.

Employers want to know that you’re a self-starter and can take initiative in your work. This is especially important for entry-level positions, where you may not have as much experience or knowledge of the company’s processes.

Example: “When I worked at my previous job, we had a lot of customers who would call us with questions about our products. One day, I noticed that many of these calls were coming from one area code. I looked up this area code online and found out it was an area where there wasn’t another local business like ours. So, I called the number myself and asked if they needed help finding a product. They said no, but I offered them 10% off their first purchase if they visited our website. We ended up getting a new customer because of this.”

9. Describe an instance where you collaborated with other departments to get a project done.

13. Are you familiar with website optimization?

19. What are some key performance indicators (KPIs) that you measure on a regular basis?

In your answer, explain what SEO is and give some tips on how to increase organic search traffic.

Example: “I would recommend that anyone who wants to improve their organic search traffic start by creating quality content. I’ve found that people are more likely to share and link to articles they find interesting or informative. Another tip I might suggest is using relevant keywords in your blog posts and website copy. This will help search engines like Google know what your site is about and rank it higher for related searches.”
