12. What is your experience with SQL?

18. Which programming languages are you most familiar with?

Example: “I am most familiar with Java and C++. I started out as a web developer, so these were the two languages I learned first. I’ve since expanded my knowledge of other languages, but these are still my go-to when working on projects. I find them easy to use and understand.”

19. Give an example of a time when you had to solve a problem that was not straightforward. How did you approach the problem?

This question is an opportunity to show your problem-solving skills. It’s important for a developer to be able to solve problems that are not straightforward because many times, the issues they encounter will require them to think outside of the box and come up with creative solutions.

Example: “I was working on a project where I had to integrate two different APIs into one application. The first API was very simple to use but it didn’t have all the features we needed. The second API had more advanced features but it was much harder to use. My team and I decided to combine both APIs into one so we could get the best of both worlds. We spent some time learning how to use the second API and then integrated it into our application.”

20. What is your experience with HTML and CSS?

StackAdapt uses HTML and CSS to create its stack, so it’s important that you have experience with these languages. Your answer should include your level of expertise in both HTML and CSS as well as any projects where you used them.

Example: “I’ve been using HTML and CSS for over five years now. I started out by creating basic websites, but my last job required me to use more advanced coding techniques. In fact, I was the only developer on our team who knew how to code in HTML and CSS. I created a lot of templates for our clients based on their needs.”
