How to Write a Travel Agent Resume

Here’s how to write a travel agent resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

The best way to make your resume stand out is to use specific examples and numbers. So rather than saying you “assisted customers with travel arrangements,” you could say you “assisted 100+ customers with travel arrangements daily, resulting in an average customer satisfaction rating of 4.5 stars on travel website XYZ.”

The second bullet point is much stronger because it provides specific details about what you did and the results of your work. It also includes a quantifiable number—100+ customers—which makes it easy for a recruiter or hiring manager to understand your level of experience.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you submit your resume online, it’s likely that it will go through an applicant tracking system (ATS). This system will scan your resume for certain keywords related to the job you’re applying for. If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, your application might not make it past the first round of cuts.
