Prepare for the types of questions you are likely to be asked when interviewing for a position at TravelPerk.

When you’re interviewing for a job at TravelPerk, you can expect questions that assess your skills and experience related to business travel and expense management. TravelPerk Interview Process

The interview process at TravelPerk can vary depending on the position you are applying for. However, most positions will require at least one screening call with an HR recruiter, followed by one or more interviews with managers or other members of the team. 1. What do you know about TravelPerk?

Example: “I have been following TravelPerk for quite some time now. I am impressed with the company’s innovative approach to travel management software. The company has developed an app that allows business travelers to manage their expenses while they’re on the go. This saves them time and makes it easier for managers to approve expense reports.

TravelPerk also provides a dashboard where companies can track all of their employees’ spending in real-time. This helps businesses keep track of their budget and ensure that no one is overspending. I think this is a great service because it gives both employees and employers more control over their finances.”

2. Why are you interested in working at a startup?

TravelPerk is a startup company that’s growing quickly. Employers ask this question to learn more about your personality and how you might fit into their organization. When answering, try to highlight some of the reasons why you enjoy working at startups. You can also share what you hope to gain from working at a startup like TravelPerk.

Example: “I’m excited to work for a startup because I love being part of something new. I think it would be exciting to see TravelPerk grow from its current state into a successful business. I am confident in my abilities as a travel planner and look forward to helping others plan their trips.”

3. How would you handle an out of control sales cycle?

TravelPerk is a sales-driven company, and the interviewer may want to know how you would handle an out of control sales cycle. This question can also give insight into your management style.

Example: “I have had experience with this before at my previous job where I worked in a high-pressure sales environment. In that situation, we were trying to meet our quota for the month, but it was taking us longer than usual to close deals. I knew that if we didn’t get back on track soon, we wouldn’t hit our goals for the month. So, I called a team meeting and explained what was going on. Then, I asked everyone to come up with ideas about how we could improve our sales process. We came up with some great solutions, and by the end of the day, we were back on track.”

4. Which areas of the company interest you most?

This question can help the interviewer determine if you have a good understanding of what TravelPerk does and how it operates. It also helps them decide whether your skills and experience are a good fit for their company. When answering this question, try to show that you’ve done some research on the company and its services.

Example: “I’m interested in working with the travel management team because I think my customer service background would be an asset there. I know that TravelPerk has a reputation for providing excellent customer service, so I’d love to learn more about how the company trains employees to deliver such great experiences to customers.”

5. Tell me about your experience with onboarding new customers.

TravelPerk is a relatively new company, so you may not have experience onboarding customers. However, if you do, the interviewer wants to know how you did it and what your results were. If you don’t have direct customer onboarding experience, you can talk about other onboarding experiences you’ve had in the past.

6. Would you be willing to make cold calls?

TravelPerk is looking for a salesperson who can make cold calls to prospective clients. This question helps the interviewer determine whether you’re willing to do this and if you have experience doing it. If you don’t, explain how you would approach making cold calls.

Example: “I’ve never made cold calls before, but I’m confident that I could learn how to do so. I also understand that cold calling is an important part of selling, so I’d be willing to put in the time and effort to become good at it.”

7. Are there any specific programming languages or frameworks that you have experience with?

TravelPerk is a technology company that uses programming languages and frameworks to create its travel management platform. Your answer should show the interviewer that you have experience with these types of technologies. If you don’t, it’s important to explain what other skills you bring to the role.

Example: “I’ve worked in several different industries where I had to use various programming languages and frameworks. In my last position as an IT specialist for a large corporation, I used Java, C++ and Python to develop enterprise-level software applications. I also used JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS to build websites and web apps.”

8. Can you tell us about a time when you overcame a technical challenge?

10. Do you have experience working for a business-to-business (B2B) company?

TravelPerk is a B2B company, so the interviewer may ask this question to see if you have experience working for one. If you do, share your experiences and how they helped you develop skills that will help you succeed in this role. If you don’t have experience working for a B2B company, explain what you think it means to work for a business-to-business company.

Example: “I’ve never worked for a B2B company before, but I understand that it’s when two businesses interact with each other. In my previous roles, I’ve interacted with many different companies, which has helped me learn more about the travel industry.”

11. What is your favorite thing about traveling?

Example: “At my previous job, I noticed that our company was spending too much money on travel expenses. I brought this up at a team meeting and we decided to create a new budgeting system for the company. We created a spreadsheet where everyone could input their estimated expenses and it would calculate how much they should spend per month. The system worked well and saved us thousands of dollars.”

15. As an Account Executive, you will need to prioritize tasks during busy periods. What approach do you take when prioritizing projects?

TravelPerk is a fast-paced environment, and the interviewer will want to know how you handle working under pressure. Use your answer to highlight your time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Example: “I have found that it’s important to take a strategic approach when prioritizing projects. I first look at deadlines for each project and then consider which ones are urgent and need immediate attention. After this, I assess which projects can be delayed until later in the week or month depending on their urgency. This allows me to focus my energy on the most important tasks while still ensuring all work gets done.”

16. Describe your experience with creating and managing accounts.

TravelPerk uses a variety of accounts to manage travel and expense information for business travelers. The interviewer may ask this question to learn more about your experience with creating and managing online accounts. Use examples from previous work experiences to describe the types of accounts you’ve created and how you managed them.

Example: “In my last role, I was responsible for creating and managing several different types of accounts on our company’s intranet. These included email accounts, social media accounts and employee profiles. I used these accounts to communicate with coworkers, create company announcements and share important information with employees.”

17. In your opinion, what is the best part of working at a startup? The worst part?

This question is a great way to learn more about the company culture and how you might fit in. When answering, try to focus on what you like most about working at startups and why it’s important for TravelPerk.

Example: “The best part of working at a startup is that everyone has an opportunity to make a big impact. I love being able to work with smart people who are passionate about their jobs and helping others. The worst part is that sometimes there isn’t enough time in the day to get everything done. It can be stressful when you’re under pressure to meet deadlines.”

18. What do you think would be the biggest challenge for you if you joined the team?

TravelPerk wants to know that you’re aware of the challenges involved in working for a startup and are confident that you can overcome them. Your answer should show your willingness to learn, adapt and grow with the company.

Example: “I think the biggest challenge would be learning how to use all of TravelPerk’s features. 19. What are some ways that you collect feedback from clients?

TravelPerk is a company that relies on customer feedback to improve its services. The interviewer may ask you this question to see if you have experience with collecting and analyzing client feedback. Use your answer to explain how you would use surveys, interviews or other methods to collect information from clients about their experiences using TravelPerk’s services.

Example: “I find it important to regularly survey my clients to get their opinions on our services. I usually send out one-question surveys every two weeks after they complete a trip to learn more about what they thought of the service. This helps me identify areas where we can improve our services and make sure that clients are getting the best possible experience.”

20. As an SDR, you’ll be contacting many potential leads. How do you feel about making cold calls?

TravelPerk is looking for an SDR who can make cold calls to potential clients. They want to know that you’re comfortable with this aspect of the job and have experience doing it. If you don’t, explain how you plan to get over your discomfort and learn to do it effectively.

Example: “I’ve found that I’m quite good at making cold calls. In my previous role as an SDR, I had to call many leads who weren’t familiar with our company. I developed a script that helped me introduce myself and the company in a way that was easy to understand. I also learned to listen carefully to what prospects were saying so I could address their concerns and objections quickly.”
