2. Do you have experience working in a sales environment?

12. What qualities do you think make up a good Territory Partner?

14. It’s important for our claims team members to be able to quickly resolve any issues regarding claims. Can you give an example where you were able to handle a claim within 24 hours?

15. Why should we hire you as an Account Manager?

This question is your opportunity to show the interviewer that you have what it takes to succeed in this role. Use examples from your experience and skills to highlight how they will benefit Trupanion.

18. Would you consider yourself to be detail oriented?

Employers ask this question to determine if you can perform the job duties with accuracy. Detail-oriented employees are more likely to make fewer mistakes and complete tasks on time. When answering, highlight your attention to detail by describing a situation in which you were able to notice small details that helped you achieve success.

Example: “I am definitely detail oriented. I have always been someone who pays close attention to what others say and do. This has helped me learn from my mistakes and avoid repeating them. In my last role as an insurance agent, I noticed that one of my clients was not taking their dog to the vet for checkups like they should be. After asking about it, I learned that the client had forgotten to renew their policy. By paying attention to the little things, I was able to help my client get back on track.”

19. We want our Territory Partners to be self motivated. Do you feel like you can motivate yourself without needing direction from others?

This question is designed to determine how you will perform as a Territory Partner. You should answer this question by explaining that you are self-motivated and can complete your daily tasks without needing direction from others.

Example: “I am very self-motivated, so I don’t need much direction from my manager or other team members. I feel like I have the skills necessary to succeed in this role, so I would prefer not to receive too many directions. If I ever needed help with something, I would ask for it.”

20. Our most successful Sales Representatives are outgoing and friendly. Do you fit this description?

This question is an opportunity to show the interviewer that you have the personality and skills needed for success in this role. If you are interviewing for a sales position, it’s important to highlight your communication and interpersonal skills.

Example: “I am very outgoing and friendly. I love meeting new people and making them feel comfortable. In my previous job, I was responsible for cold-calling potential customers and convincing them to buy our product. I found that by being friendly and personable, I could make the customer more receptive to what I had to say.”
