Your answer should include specific details about why you are interested in this role, as well as some of the things that make UNIQLO unique.

Example: “UNIQLO has an amazing reputation for its customer service and quality products. I have shopped here before and was impressed with the store’s layout and selection. I also love the idea of working for a company that focuses on making clothing affordable for everyone. I think my skills would be a great fit for this position.”

2. Tell me about your experience working in retail.

This question is a great way for employers to learn more about your retail experience and how it relates to working at UNIQLO. When answering this question, you can discuss the skills you developed while working in retail that will help you succeed in your new role.

Example: “While I was in college, I worked part-time as a sales associate at a clothing store. This job helped me develop my customer service skills because I had to interact with customers on a regular basis. It also taught me how to work efficiently when there were long lines of people waiting to check out. In addition, I learned how to use cash registers and other point-of-sale systems.”

3. Which department would you be most interested in?

This question is a way for the interviewer to learn more about your interests and goals. You can answer this question by naming a department that you are passionate about or have experience in.

Example: “I am most interested in working with customers, so I would be thrilled to work in customer service. However, I also love fashion design, so I think it would be amazing to work as a designer at UNIQLO. I know how important customer service is to the company, so I would make sure to use my creativity to create fashionable clothing that makes our customers happy.”

4. How long have you been interested in fashion?

This question is a great way for the interviewer to learn more about your background and interests. They want to know if you have any experience in fashion, how long you’ve been interested in it and what inspired you to pursue this career path. Your answer should include details about when you became interested in fashion, why you enjoy it and how that led you to apply for this position.

Example: “I’ve always had an interest in fashion, but I didn’t start paying attention to trends until high school. My best friend at the time was really into fashion, so she would show me new styles and we would shop together. She got me started on my love of fashion, which eventually led me to enroll in a degree program focused on fashion design.”

5. What is the biggest challenge you foresee while working with us during our busiest season (Black Friday)?

This question is a great way to test your problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team. Your answer should show that you are willing to take on challenges, while also being able to communicate with others about how to overcome them.

Example: “The biggest challenge I foresee during our busiest season would be the long lines at checkout. As a customer service representative, it’s my job to help customers find what they’re looking for as quickly as possible. 6. Do you have any experience with cash handling and customer service?

Cash handling and customer service are two of the most important aspects of working in retail. Employers ask this question to make sure you have experience with these tasks, as they can be challenging for some people. If you do have cash handling or customer service experience, share a story about how you handled a difficult situation or helped someone out.

Example: “I worked at a clothing store during my college years. I had no prior experience with cash handling or customer service, but I learned quickly. One day, a woman came into the store looking for a specific item. She described it to me, and I looked through our inventory. Unfortunately, we didn’t have what she was looking for. I apologized and offered her a discount on another item.”

7. If a customer was unsatisfied/unhappy, how would you handle the situation?

This question is an opportunity to show your customer service skills. Your answer should demonstrate that you can empathize with the customer while also following company policies.

Example: “If a customer was unhappy with their purchase, I would first apologize for any inconvenience. Then, I would ask them what we could do to make things right. If it was within my power, I would offer a refund or exchange. If not, I would try to find another solution that made the customer happy.”

8. What is one thing that you think we could improve on as a company?

Example: “I think one thing UNIQLO could improve on is its customer service. I’ve heard many complaints from customers about their experiences with our associates, which is unfortunate because I know we have some amazing associates who are very helpful. If I were to work here, I would implement training for all associates so they can learn more about the products and how to best assist customers.”

9. What does diversity mean to you?

This question is a great way to assess your understanding of the company’s values. When answering, it can be helpful to reference specific examples from your past experience that show how you’ve applied diversity in your work.

Example: “Diversity means recognizing and valuing differences among people. In my last role, I worked with a team of designers who were all very different from one another. Some had more design experience than others, some were better at communicating their ideas and some were more detail-oriented. However, we all respected each other’s strengths and learned from each other as we collaborated on projects together. This helped us create innovative designs that our customers loved.”

10. At UNIQLO, we strive for great customer service. Give an example of when you provided excellent customer service.

Customer service is an important part of retail. Interviewers ask this question to see if you have experience providing excellent customer service and how you would apply that skill at UNIQLO. In your answer, explain a time when you provided great customer service and what steps you took to ensure the customer had a positive shopping experience.

Example: “At my previous job, I worked in a clothing store where we sold many different brands. One day, a woman came into the store looking for a specific brand of jeans. Unfortunately, we didn’t carry her size or color. Instead of just telling her we couldn’t help her, I asked her about other brands she liked. We ended up finding a pair of jeans from another brand that fit her perfectly.”

11. Describe yourself using 3 words.

This question is a way for the interviewer to get to know you better and see if your personality matches with the company culture. It also allows them to understand what kind of person you are, which can help them decide whether or not you’re a good fit for the position. When answering this question, try to be as honest as possible while still being positive about yourself.

Example: “I would describe myself as hardworking, creative and empathetic. I think these traits make me an excellent candidate for this position because they show that I’m someone who’s willing to put in the work to succeed at my job, am able to come up with new ideas and have compassion for others.”

12. Have you ever worked in a fast-paced environment before? What were some challenges you faced?

This question can help the interviewer get a better idea of how you might fit in with their team. They may be looking for someone who is comfortable working quickly and efficiently, but also has experience overcoming challenges that come with this type of environment. In your answer, try to highlight any skills or experiences that will make you successful in this role.

Example: “I have worked in a fast-paced environment before, and I find it’s important to stay organized and prioritize tasks as they come up. When there are many things to do at once, it’s helpful to break them down into smaller steps so you can focus on one thing at a time. This helps me avoid feeling overwhelmed by all the work.”

13. How would you deal with a difficult customer who wanted to return something without a receipt?

This question can help the interviewer assess your customer service skills. Use examples from previous work experiences to highlight how you handled a similar situation and what steps you took to resolve it.

Example: “I once had a customer who wanted to return an item without a receipt, but I could tell that he was lying about when he purchased it. After asking him several questions, I determined that he bought the item two years ago, which is why he couldn’t provide a receipt. Instead of denying his request, I offered to give him store credit for the amount he paid for the shirt. He agreed, and I gave him the same amount in store credit.”

14. What qualities make someone good at sales?

This question can help the interviewer determine your sales skills and how they relate to working at UNIQLO. Use examples from your previous experience that show you have strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills.

Example: “A good salesperson is someone who has a genuine interest in helping others find clothes that make them feel confident. Example: “I believe my greatest strength as a manager is being an empathetic listener.
