Example: “Being detail-oriented helps me stay organized, which is essential when dealing with large quantities of data. This task would have been much more difficult if I hadn’t been able to organize the data by client because then I wouldn’t know where to find certain information.”

8. When was the last time you had to learn something new on the fly? How did it go?

This question can help the interviewer get a sense of how you approach new challenges and whether you have experience with learning new software or programs.

Example: “I recently had to learn a new accounting program for my current role, and I was able to do it on my own without any assistance from coworkers or managers. It took me about two weeks to fully understand all aspects of the program, but now I’m comfortable using it regularly.”

9. Can you tell me about a time when you were faced with a conflict while working on a team project? How did you handle the situation?

This question can help the interviewer understand how you handle interpersonal conflicts and your ability to resolve them. Use examples from previous work experiences where you faced a conflict with a team member or manager, but also highlight how you resolved the issue and what steps you took to ensure it didn’t happen again.

11. Have you ever worked in a fast-paced environment before?

13. Walk us through your resume.
