20 YETI Interview Questions and Answers

YETI Interview Process

3. As an Outfitter, how do you think you can help customers make the most out of their outdoor experiences?

4. Describe a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer or situation and how you handled it.

11. What are some things that you look forward to learning while working here?

12. How do you feel about being on your feet all day?

14. Have you ever worked in a team environment? If so, how was it?

15. Have you ever dealt with conflict between coworkers? If so, what did you do to resolve the problem?

Employers ask this question to learn more about your conflict resolution skills. They want to know that you can work with others and resolve problems in a professional manner. When answering, try to describe the situation without naming names. Explain what steps you took to solve the problem.

Example: “I once worked with a coworker who was very outspoken. He would often make comments or jokes that were inappropriate for the workplace. I tried to ignore his behavior at first, but it became clear that he wasn’t going to stop on his own. So, I talked to him privately about his comments. I told him that while I appreciated his sense of humor, his remarks made some people uncomfortable. He apologized and promised to be more mindful of his words.”

16. How would you handle a coworker who wasn’t doing his/her job properly?

This question can help the interviewer determine how you handle conflict and whether you’re willing to speak up when necessary. In your answer, try to show that you value teamwork and are willing to work with others to achieve a common goal.

Example: “I would first approach my coworker privately to discuss the issue. If they were aware of their mistake but hadn’t fixed it yet, I’d ask them what they needed from me or other coworkers to help them get back on track. If they weren’t aware of their mistake, I’d explain the situation as calmly as possible and offer to help them learn how to do their job properly.”

17. We like to promote from within. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

18. Are you willing to relocate?

Employers may ask this question to see if you’re willing to move for the job. If they are looking to hire someone who can work in their main office, it’s likely that they will only be hiring people who live relatively close by. However, if they are looking to expand their business and need employees who can work remotely, they might consider hiring someone who lives farther away.

19. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
