Citi Interview Process

8. Are you comfortable managing large projects that require multiple teams?

This question can help the interviewer determine if you have experience working in a large organization and collaborating with multiple teams. Use examples from your past work experience to show that you are comfortable managing projects that involve multiple departments or teams.

9. Tell me about a time when you had to make decisions about a process without consulting your direct manager.

This way, if someone were to get hold of my device, they wouldn’t be able to access any confidential information.”

11. What would you say is your greatest strength and weakness?

This question is a common one in interviews, and it’s important to be prepared with an answer that shows your strengths while also being honest about any weaknesses you may have. 15. What do you know about the banking industry?

This question is a great way to see how much research you’ve done on the company. Citigroup wants to know that you’re interested in working for them and have done your homework about their industry. After asking several questions, we determined that they accidentally deposited a check into their savings account instead of checking account. We reversed the charge and avoided any further fees.”

17. What are some current events going on in the financial market right now?

This question is a great way to test your knowledge of the financial market and how it’s changing. Citigroup wants to know that you’re aware of what’s going on in the industry, so be sure to do some research before your interview.

Example: “I think one of the biggest current events right now is the recent tax reform bill. The bill was signed into law by President Trump last December, and it will have an impact on businesses across the country. I believe this bill will help small businesses grow and create more jobs for Americans.”

18. What areas do you think need improvement within our company?

This question can help the interviewer determine your level of self-awareness and how you approach problem solving. When answering this question, it can be helpful to highlight a specific example from your previous experience that shows how you would implement change in an organization.

Example: “I think there are several areas where Citi could improve. One area I noticed during my time at ABC Bank was that customer service representatives were often too busy to answer questions thoroughly or provide additional information when speaking with customers on the phone. This led to many customers becoming frustrated and ending their call before getting all of their questions answered. 19. What questions do you have for us?

It also shows them that you’re prepared for this interview, as you’ve likely already thought of questions to ask. When preparing for this question, think of things you want to know about the company or position.

Example: “I noticed that Citi has a strong commitment to diversity. I’m curious how you ensure that all employees feel welcome and supported at work. What initiatives do you have in place? Are there any plans to expand these programs?”

20. If hired, what would be your approach to analyzing complex data sets?

This question is an opportunity to show your analytical skills and how you would apply them in a work environment. When answering this question, it can be helpful to describe the steps you would take when analyzing data sets and provide examples of past experiences doing so.
