2. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Employers ask this question to learn more about your personality and how you view yourself. They want to know what skills you have that will help you succeed in the role, but they also want to make sure you are aware of any areas where you need improvement. When answering this question, be honest about both your strengths and weaknesses. Try to focus on one or two strengths and explain how they can benefit you at work.

Example: “My greatest strength is my attention to detail. I am very organized and always make sure to double-check everything I do. This has helped me avoid mistakes and achieve excellent grades in school. My weakness is that I sometimes get overwhelmed by large projects. To overcome this, I break down big tasks into smaller ones so I can stay focused.”

3. Why do you want to work at Dyson?

6. Describe a time when you had to deal with an unhappy customer.

Example: “When I worked at a coffee shop, we had a regular customer who would come in every day. One day, he came in and ordered his usual drink. Example: “At my last job, I was tasked with creating a new marketing campaign for our company’s website. My manager wanted me to create something that would increase sales by 20%. After brainstorming ideas, I came up with an idea to use pop culture references in our advertisements. For example, we used memes to advertise our products. This strategy increased sales by 30% over the previous year.”

8. Do you have any prior knowledge or experience using Dyson products?

This question can help the interviewer determine if you have any experience using their products. If you do, share what your thoughts were on them and how they helped you complete your work. If you don’t have prior knowledge or experience with Dyson products, it’s okay to say so and explain that you’re excited to learn more about the company and its products.

This question is an opportunity to show your interviewer that you are a self-starter and can work independently. You should answer this question honestly, but also highlight how you collaborate with others when needed.

Example: “I am comfortable working independently because I have done so for the past five years at my current job. However, I enjoy collaborating with other team members on projects as well. For example, I worked with two other employees to create a new marketing campaign last year. We each had different ideas about what we wanted to do, which led to some great discussions. In the end, we all agreed on one idea, and it was successful.”

13. Would you consider yourself more of a visual, auditory or kinesthetic learner?

This question is designed to determine how you learn best. The interviewer wants to know if your learning style matches the company’s training methods. If you have previous experience with Dyson, you may be able to compare and contrast your current employer’s training methods with those of Dyson.

Example: “My biggest challenge when demonstrating new products to customers would be overcoming their skepticism about the product’s claims. 17. Explain how you would implement a strategy if it wasn’t being followed by your employees.

Example: “I would first try to understand why they weren’t following my strategy. If it was because of a lack of resources, I would find ways to make sure everyone had what they needed to do their jobs well. 18. What do you think makes a great leader?

Example: “I think a great leader is someone who can motivate their team members. They should be able to inspire others to do their best work. A leader should also be someone who is willing to take on challenges themselves. I am always ready to help my team with anything they need, even if it means doing some of the work myself. This shows them that I care about their success as much as my own.”

19. Tell us about a time when you were under stress but still met deadlines.

Employers ask this question to see how you handle pressure. They want to know that you can complete tasks on time and with quality, even when under stress. In your answer, explain what caused the stress and how you overcame it. Show them that you are a hard worker who is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

20. How do you stay up to date on current events?

Employers ask this question to see if you are interested in current events and how you stay informed. They want to know that you will be able to keep the rest of their team up-to-date on important news stories, which can affect the company’s bottom line or reputation. In your answer, explain what methods you use to stay informed about current events.

Example: “I have several subscriptions to different newspapers and magazines. I also subscribe to a few newsletters that send me links to articles they think I’ll find interesting. I try to read at least one article per day so I don’t miss any major news stories.”
