How to Write a Fashion Production Assistant Resume

Here’s how to write a resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

When you’re writing bullet points, it can be tempting to focus on the tasks and responsibilities of your job. But that’s not enough to make a strong impression. Instead, you should focus on the results of your work.

For example, rather than saying you “managed inventory for clothing line,” you could say that you “reduced inventory costs by 15% and increased inventory turnover by 20%, resulting in a 10% increase in net revenue for Q3 2019.”

Notice how the second bullet point is more specific and provides more detail about the results of your work. It also includes a quantifiable number—net revenue—which makes it easy for the reader to understand the significance of your work.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you apply for a fashion production assistant role, your resume is likely to go through an applicant tracking system (ATS). This program will search for certain keywords related to the job in order to determine whether or not you’re a good fit. If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, you might not make it past the initial screening.

To increase your chances of getting an interview, use this list of keywords as a starting point and then add in some other relevant terms. You can also use this list when you write your resume or cover letter.

Additionally, you will need to be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
