2. What do you think is the most important aspect of sales?

This question is a great way to determine how the candidate thinks about their work. It’s also an opportunity for them to show you that they understand what sales is all about and can apply it to their own career.

Example: “I think the most important aspect of sales is communication. You have to be able to communicate with your clients, prospects and other team members in order to make sure everyone understands what you’re selling and why it’s beneficial to them. If you don’t do this effectively, you could lose a sale or even damage your company’s reputation.”

3. Why are you interested in working for FinancialForce?

4. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with an angry customer, how did you handle it?

This question is a great way to see how you handle conflict and stress. It’s important for customer service professionals to be able to diffuse situations with customers, so employers want to know that you can do this effectively. In your answer, try to explain what steps you took to resolve the situation and keep the customer happy.

5. Do you have experience with Salesforce?

Salesforce is a popular cloud-based CRM system that many businesses use to manage their sales and customer data. If you have experience with Salesforce, the interviewer may ask you about your experience level and what type of projects you worked on.

Example: “I’ve used Salesforce for three years now, but I’m still an intermediate user. 6. Have you ever been involved in any projects that didn’t go well? How did you manage it?

We put together an email campaign that included testimonials from other donors and raised over $30,000 by the deadline.”

8. If hired, what steps would you take to start building relationships with customers?

Example: “I believe that the first step I would take to start building relationships with customers is by making sure they feel comfortable when they call or email us. This helps me learn more about our products and services and gives me insight into what may help them.”

9. How would you approach a potential client?

Example: “I always start by asking what their goals are for using FinancialForce. I want to make sure they’re aware of all the benefits of working with us, so I explain our company’s history and highlight some of our most successful projects. 10. Are you comfortable cold calling?

12. Why should we hire you over other candidates?

In addition, my ability to work independently and as part of a team would help me contribute to your organization.”

13. Do you prefer to work alone or as part of a team?

This question can help the interviewer determine how you might fit into their organization. Your answer should reflect your ability to work independently and as part of a team, depending on what is required by the job.

Example: “I prefer working in teams because I find it more efficient than working alone. However, I am also comfortable working independently when necessary. In my last role, I worked with a small team that was responsible for creating financial reports. We would meet weekly to discuss our progress and any challenges we faced. When I needed to complete tasks individually, I would communicate regularly with my teammates so they were aware of my progress.”

14. Describe how you would use social media as a recruitment strategy for FinancialForce.

18. What is your greatest strength and weakness?

19. What kind of programming languages can you code in?

This question is a great way to see if the candidate has experience with coding in general. It’s also an opportunity for you to learn about their background and what they’ve been doing professionally.

Example: “I have extensive experience coding in Java, C++ and Python. I find that these languages are very useful when it comes to working with financial software because of how complex they can be. In my last role, I was responsible for creating new reports and analyzing data using these programming languages.”

20. We want our employees to be able to work independently. Do you think you would be a good fit for that type of environment?

This question is a great way for the interviewer to get an idea of your work ethic and how you handle responsibility. When answering this question, it can be helpful to mention specific instances where you have worked independently in the past.

Example: “I think I would be a good fit for working independently at FinancialForce because I am used to being responsible for my own tasks. In my last position, I was often given projects that required me to work on them without much guidance from my manager. This allowed me to learn more about the company’s financial processes and develop new ways to improve our systems.”
