2. Which of our products are you most interested in working on?

This question helps the interviewer determine your level of interest in working for FM Global. It also allows them to share information about the products and services they offer. Example: “I’m most interested in working on the business continuity solutions team. 5. Have you ever had a project that didn’t go well, what happened?

7. How would you approach new clients and get them to see the value of our company?

This question is an opportunity to show your sales skills and how you can help grow the company. Your answer should include a few steps that you would take when approaching new clients, such as:

Example: “I would start by researching the client’s website and social media accounts to get a better idea of who they are and what they do. Example: “I would start by asking them what their current insurance policy covers. Then I would explain that FM Global’s policies cover more than just property damage. 10. Do you have any experience with computer aided design software?

FM Global uses computer aided design software to create and edit floor plans for commercial buildings. The company wants to know if you have experience with this type of software so they can determine whether or not you’re a good fit for the role. If you do, share your experience and explain how it’s helped you in the past. If you don’t, express an interest in learning more about it.

11. Can you tell me about a time when you failed at something, how did you learn from it?

12. How would you respond if a client told you that they can find cheaper rates elsewhere?

This question can help the interviewer understand how you handle rejection and whether you’re willing to go above and beyond for your clients. Your answer should show that you value customer service and are willing to work hard to ensure a client’s loyalty.

Example: “I would first ask them why they feel like they can find cheaper rates elsewhere, as I want to make sure we’re providing the best possible service at all times. If it turns out that our rates are higher than their expectations, I would explain that we offer more services than just insurance, such as business continuity planning and risk management. This may be something they haven’t considered before, and I’d encourage them to take some time to learn about these additional offerings.”

13. Give us an example of a time when you had to deal with difficult people, how did you handle it?

14. When dealing with property damage claims, how would you ensure that everything is handled properly?

This question is an opportunity to show your knowledge of the company’s services and how you would apply them in a work environment. When answering, it can be helpful to mention specific steps or procedures that you would use when working with property damage claims.

Example: “When dealing with property damage claims, I would first make sure that all necessary documentation was completed by my team members. Then, I would review the claim for accuracy and ensure that all supporting documents were included. After this, I would submit the claim to FM Global for approval. Once approved, I would then send the claim to the client.”

15. We want our engineers to be able to work independently. Do you think you’re fit for that type of environment?

This question is a great way to determine if the company’s culture fits your personality. If you’re an independent worker, explain how you’ll thrive in this environment. If you prefer more guidance and support, discuss how you can work with others to achieve success.

Example: “I’m very comfortable working independently. I’ve been doing so for years now, and it’s something that comes naturally to me. However, I also enjoy collaborating with my team members. I think we all have unique perspectives and ideas that can help us solve problems or come up with new solutions.”

16. Give us an example of a failure where you learned something valuable.

This question is a great way to show your ability to learn from mistakes and grow as an employee. When answering this question, it can be helpful to focus on the steps you took to improve yourself or your work after the failure occurred.

Example: “In my last position, I was responsible for managing several projects at once. One day, I realized that one of my team members had forgotten to submit a report by its deadline. This caused me to rush through the rest of my work so I could meet all of my deadlines. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to proofread my work before submitting it, which led to some errors in my reports. 17. Describe a situation where you used logic to solve a problem.

This question is an opportunity to show your problem-solving skills. When answering this question, it can be helpful to describe a situation where you used logic and reasoning to solve a problem or challenge.

Example: “At my previous job, I was responsible for managing the company’s social media accounts. One day, I noticed that our Twitter account had been hacked. The hacker changed the profile picture and bio of the account, which included profanity and other inappropriate content. I immediately contacted IT to see if they could help me fix the issue. They were able to change the password on the account so I could regain access. Then, I deleted all of the offensive tweets and changed the profile photo back to what it originally looked like.”

18. What kind of research do you use when writing reports?

This question can help the interviewer understand how you approach your work and what kind of tools you use. Use examples from past projects to explain how you gather information, evaluate data and make decisions about your reports.

Example: “I usually start my research by looking at company websites for any information they have posted online. I also search through industry publications and news sites to find relevant articles that may be helpful in understanding a situation or problem. I then contact clients directly to ask questions about their current processes and procedures. Finally, I look at internal documents like client contracts and policies to ensure I am getting all the necessary information.”

19. Would you be willing to relocate within the US?

If you’re applying for a position with FM Global, it’s likely that you’ll be traveling to different states and countries. The interviewer wants to know if you’re willing to relocate in order to advance your career at the company. Your answer should show that you are open to relocating as long as it is within the US.
