How to Write a Fund Administrator Resume

Here’s how to write a resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

Bullet points are the most important part of your resume because they’re the first thing recruiters and hiring managers will see. And they’re the best way to showcase your experience and qualifications.

So it’s crucial that you use them to your advantage. And the best way to do that is by using specific, detailed bullet points that clearly describe your responsibilities and achievements.

For example, rather than saying you “managed accounts,” you could say you “managed $10M+ accounts for top-tier investment firm, overseeing daily operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.”

The second bullet point is much more specific and provides more detail about what exactly you did and the scope of your responsibilities.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you apply for a job as a fund administrator, your resume is likely to go through an applicant tracking system (ATS). This system will scan your resume for specific keywords related to the position, like “fundraising” or “donor relations.” If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, the ATS might automatically reject your application.

To increase your chances of getting an interview, use the list below to help you identify the right keywords to include on your resume:

  • Investments
  • Asset Management
  • Portfolio Management
  • Trading
  • Financial Analysis

Additionally, you will need to be familiar with the regulatory environment surrounding fund administration, as well as the various compliance requirements.
