G Adventures Interview Process

The interview process at G Adventures is quite lengthy, and can take up to a month to complete. It consists of five steps: a video interview, an in-person interview, a second in-person interview, a culture fit interview, and finally, a reference check.

The first step is a video interview, which is conducted using the HireVu platform. This interview consists of five questions, and you are given 30 seconds to prepare your answer before recording begins.

The second step is an in-person interview with your potential supervisor. This interview is more traditional, and focuses on your experience and qualifications for the role.

The third step is another in-person interview, this time with members of the team you would be working with. This interview is more focused on your ability to work well within a team.

The fourth step is the culture fit interview, which is conducted by employees from other departments. This interview is designed to assess whether or not you would be a good fit for the company culture.

The final step is a reference check, where your references will be contacted to confirm your qualifications and character.

6. Describe a situation where you were able to resolve a problem for a customer.

This question is a great way to show your problem-solving skills and ability to work with customers. When answering this question, it can be helpful to provide specific details about the situation and how you resolved it.

Example: “While working as an adventure travel guide, I had a customer who was very nervous about going on a zip line tour. She expressed her concerns to me, and we talked through them together. After our conversation, she felt much more confident about the tour and went on it without any issues.”

7. Why should we hire you over other candidates?

This question is a great opportunity to show your knowledge of the company and how you can contribute to its success. You should highlight any skills or experiences that are relevant to the position, such as:

This required me to be able to multitask between different platforms and create engaging content for each platform. I am comfortable working in a similar environment where I need to manage multiple projects at once.”

10. Why is this position important to G Adventures?

I know that many people are on a budget when they travel, so I want to make sure that everyone who travels with us gets the most out of their trip without breaking the bank.”

11. Do you have any experience using Salesforce?

G Adventures uses Salesforce to manage their sales and marketing operations. If you have experience using this software, highlight your skills in the interview.

This question can help interviewers understand how you handle conflict and whether or not you have experience dealing with difficult customers. When answering this question, it can be helpful to mention a specific situation where you helped resolve an issue with a customer and the positive outcome of your actions.

Example: “In my previous role as a travel agent, I had a client who was upset about having to change their vacation plans due to a hurricane. After explaining our reasoning, the client calmed down and agreed to reschedule their vacation.”

While traveling with these groups, I often had to make decisions about where we would go and what activities we would do without consulting my supervisor. For example, one time while visiting Yellowstone National Park, our group wanted to see some wildlife but didn’t want to drive too far from the hotel. I decided to take them to Lamar Valley, which has plenty of wildlife but isn’t as crowded as other areas of the park.”

16. What sets G Adventures apart from other tour companies?

G Adventures is a unique company that offers tours to destinations around the world. The interviewer may ask this question to learn more about your knowledge of G Adventures and how you can contribute to its success. I worked part-time at a restaurant while going to school full-time, and I managed to save $5,000 by the time I graduated high school. I used that money to fund my trip to Europe, where I visited five countries over the course of two weeks.”

18. Would you be willing to make frequent international trips or foreign assignments if needed?

G Adventures is a global company, and the interviewer may want to know if you’re willing to travel frequently. If you are, explain why this would be an exciting opportunity for you.

Example: “I’m excited about the prospect of working internationally because I’ve always wanted to see more of the world. I have no problem with frequent international trips or foreign assignments as long as they don’t interfere with my family life. I am single but plan on having children in the future, so I understand that there will be times when I can’t travel.”

19. What is one thing you would change about G Adventures?

This question is a way for the interviewer to assess your ability to think critically and creatively. Your answer should show that you understand what makes G Adventures unique, but also highlight how you would improve upon it.

Example: “I would change the fact that there are no age restrictions on some of the tours. I believe that if someone is old enough to travel alone, they should be able to participate in all aspects of the tour. For example, I once had an 80-year-old woman who wanted to go zip lining with us. She was very fit and healthy, but she couldn’t do any of the activities because we have a minimum age requirement. I would raise the age limit so that everyone could enjoy the trip.”
