Glovo Interview Process

1. Why do you want to work at Glovo?

2. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with an upset customer, how did you handle it?

Glovo is a courier service, so you may have to deal with upset customers from time to time. Employers ask this question to make sure that you know how to handle customer complaints and can do so in a professional manner. In your answer, try to show the interviewer that you are empathetic and willing to help customers solve their problems.

Example: “I once had an upset customer who was having trouble receiving her order. I apologized for the inconvenience and offered to refund her money or send another delivery free of charge. She decided she wanted the second delivery, so I sent it out right away. The next day, she called me again saying she still hadn’t received her package. I apologized again and told her I would send yet another delivery at no extra cost. This time, she said she received it within two days.”

3. What is your experience working in sales and what strategies do you use for closing deals?

Glovo is a courier service that also sells products. As such, the company needs employees who can sell and close deals for customers. Your answer should show your sales experience and how you approach closing deals with clients.

Example: “I have worked in sales for five years now. I started out as an entry-level salesperson at a local electronics store where I learned about different strategies to close deals. One of my favorite strategies was asking open-ended questions to get more information from the customer. This helped me understand their needs better so I could offer them solutions that met their requirements.”

4. How would you describe yourself as an account manager?

Account managers are responsible for managing the relationship between a company and its customers. They ensure that their clients receive excellent service, so it’s important to be able to describe yourself as an effective account manager in your interview.

Example: “I am very customer-oriented, which is why I enjoy working with Glovo. I always make sure my clients have everything they need and that they’re happy with our services. I also like to think of myself as a problem solver because I’m good at finding solutions to issues that arise during deliveries.”

5. Have you worked on any projects that involved data analysis? If so, what were the results of that project?

Glovo is a company that relies heavily on data analysis to ensure its customers receive their products in the fastest and most efficient way possible. Your answer should show your ability to work with data, analyze it and use it to make decisions.

Example: “I worked at my previous job as an operations manager for a small courier service. We used our own software to track all of our drivers’ routes and deliveries. I noticed one driver was consistently late to his scheduled pickups. After analyzing the data, we found he had been making multiple stops along his route before reaching his final destination. By changing his delivery schedule, we were able to save the company money.”

6. Do you have experience using SQL?

Glovo uses SQL, or Structured Query Language, to store and manage data. This database language is used by many businesses for its ability to organize large amounts of information in a way that’s easy to access and use. If you have experience using SQL, let the interviewer know about your knowledge and skills with this language. If you don’t have any experience with SQL, explain that you’re willing to learn it if hired.

Example: “I’ve worked with SQL before at my previous job. I’m familiar with how to create tables, insert records, update existing records and delete records from tables. I also understand the importance of creating primary keys and foreign keys when working with databases.”

7. Give us an example of a time where you had to prioritize multiple tasks.

This question is a great way to assess your time management skills and ability to work under pressure. When answering this question, it can be helpful to mention the steps you took to prioritize your tasks and how they helped you complete them on time.

Example: “In my previous role as an assistant manager at a retail store, I had to manage multiple employees while also handling customer service issues. To help me stay organized, I created a daily schedule for each employee that included their specific responsibilities and when they were expected to perform them. This allowed me to check in with employees throughout the day to ensure they were completing their tasks and address any concerns or questions they may have had.”

8. Describe a situation where you had to explain technical information to a non-technical person. How did you approach this situation?

This question can help the interviewer understand how you communicate with others and your ability to explain technical information. Use examples from previous jobs or personal experiences where you had to simplify complex ideas for someone who wasn’t familiar with them.

Example: “In my last job, I was responsible for training new employees on our inventory system. The system we used was a little more complicated than most because it tracked products that were in different locations. For this reason, I made sure to thoroughly explain each aspect of the system so everyone understood how it worked.”

9. What is your typical day like as a software engineer?

This question can help the interviewer get a better idea of what your daily responsibilities are and how they align with those of Glovo. Your answer should include details about your typical day, including any tasks you perform regularly and any challenges you face.

Example: “My typical day as a software engineer starts at 8 a.m., when I check my email to see if there are any urgent issues that need to be addressed immediately. Then, I start working on my most important task for the day, which is usually developing new features or fixing bugs in existing code. 10. What are some examples of challenges faced by an account manager?

Your answer should show that you understand what an account manager does and how you can apply your skills to this role.

Example: “As an account manager, I would first try to resolve any issues with my clients by communicating with them through email or phone calls. If they still have questions or concerns, I will meet with them in person to discuss their needs and find solutions. In my previous position as an account manager at a software development firm, I had to manage multiple accounts at once. This required me to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities to other employees.”

11. Are you comfortable with having a flexible schedule?

Glovo is a courier service that requires its employees to work flexible schedules. Employers ask this question to make sure you’re comfortable with having a schedule that changes often and may not be consistent from day-to-day. This question is a great way to learn more about your potential new coworker. It can also help you determine if the candidate’s personality will fit in with the rest of the team. When answering this question, it can be helpful to mention something that relates to Glovo and its mission.

Example: “My favorite part about working in tech is being able to create something from scratch. I love seeing an idea come to life and knowing that my work was a part of making it happen. I think Glovo has a really cool concept, and I’m excited to see how far it goes.”

14. When was the last time you took initiative to solve a problem?

16. What tools do you typically use when analyzing data?
