2. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with an unhappy client, how did you handle the situation?

An interviewer may ask this question to learn more about your customer service skills. They want to know how you would react in a challenging situation and if you have the ability to diffuse it. In your answer, try to highlight your problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

Example: “I once had a client who was unhappy with their apartment because of its location. The apartment was on the first floor and they wanted an apartment on the second floor. I explained that Greystar could not guarantee any specific apartment type or location. However, I offered to show them other apartments within our community that were similar to theirs. This helped them feel better about their current living situation.”

3. Do you have experience working in property management?

7. Describe your approach to training new team members.

An employer may ask this question to learn more about your leadership skills and how you can help their company grow. When answering, it can be helpful to describe a specific time when you trained someone new on your team or helped them develop their skills.

Example: “When I first started working in real estate, my manager asked me to train a new employee who was joining our team. 18. What steps would you take if you were given a task and you didn’t quite understand what was expected of you?
