How to Write a Hospice Liaison Resume

Here’s how to write a resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

Bullet points are a great way to showcase your experience, but they’re not enough on their own. You also need to provide context by including details about the projects you worked on, the outcomes of your work, and the results you achieved.

For example, rather than saying you “provided hospice care to terminally ill patients,” you could say that you “provided end-of-life care to 20 terminally ill patients in rural New Hampshire, resulting in a 95% satisfaction rate among patients and their families.”

Notice how the second bullet point provides more detail about the project itself as well as the outcome? That’s what makes it so much stronger than the first bullet point.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

When you apply for a hospice liaison role, your resume is likely to go through an applicant tracking system (ATS). This program will scan your resume for certain keywords related to the position, like “end of life care” or “grief counseling.” If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, the ATS might automatically reject your application.
