InboxDollars pays you through three options: gift cards, PayPal, or prepaid Visa. There are no processing fees on any of these methods, and all payouts are digital. Once you hit the minimum balance, you can request payment directly from your account dashboard.
Payment Options
When you’re ready to cash out, InboxDollars presents all three options on a single redemption page. Here’s what each one looks like in practice.
Gift cards are all virtual. You’ll receive an email with a redemption link and code once processing is complete. InboxDollars offers a range of merchant cards, so you can pick from popular retailers. You can also donate your earnings or “gift” them by sending a gift card via email to someone else.
PayPal deposits your earnings directly into your PayPal account. To use this option, your full name and email address on InboxDollars must exactly match what’s on your PayPal account. Your PayPal account also needs to be verified with a connected bank account or bank card. If these don’t line up, your payment will fail, so double-check both accounts before requesting a payout.
Prepaid Visa is a virtual card option that works like a debit card for online purchases. Availability can vary, so it may not always appear on the redemption page for every member.
Minimum Balance to Cash Out
Your first payout requires at least $15 in your account. After that initial withdrawal, every future payout only requires a $10 minimum. This lower threshold makes it easier to cash out more frequently once you’ve cleared the first payment.
How Long Payment Takes
Gift cards are processed on average within 10 days of your redemption request. Once processing is complete, you’ll get an email with your redemption link and code the same day. So the wait is really in the processing queue, not in delivery.
Processing times can stretch longer during holidays, if the specific merchant is experiencing delays, or if your account is flagged for review. PayPal and Visa payments follow a similar processing window, though exact timing can vary.
Fees
InboxDollars used to charge a $3 processing fee per withdrawal, but that fee has been permanently removed. You now receive the full amount you redeem, regardless of which payment method you choose. Gift cards carry no additional fees either.
How to Request Payment
Log into your InboxDollars account and navigate to the payment or redemption section. If your balance meets the minimum ($15 for first-time, $10 after that), you’ll see all available payout options on one page. Select your preferred method, confirm your details, and submit the request. For PayPal, make sure your account info matches before you hit submit, since mismatched names or emails will cause the payment to bounce.
After submitting, you’ll wait through the processing period. Keep an eye on the email associated with your account, since that’s where your gift card codes, PayPal confirmation, or Visa details will arrive once everything clears.
