You can pay your Target Circle Card online at Target.com, through the Target app, by phone, by mail, or in person at any Target store. Most cardholders find the online or app method fastest, but each option works well depending on your situation.
Pay Online at Target.com
Log in to your Target account at Target.com and navigate to your Target Circle Card. From there you can make a one-time payment or set up autopay using your bank account (checking or savings). You’ll enter your bank routing number and account number, choose your payment amount (minimum due, statement balance, current balance, or a custom amount), and select the payment date. Payments submitted this way typically post within one to two business days.
If you set up autopay, Target will pull the amount you choose from your bank account each month on or before your due date, so you never have to remember to log in. You can cancel or change autopay at any time.
Pay Through the Target App
The Target app offers the same payment functionality as the website. Open the app, go to your Target Circle Card section, and follow the prompts to submit a payment from your linked bank account. This is the most convenient option if you’re already using the app to browse deals or manage your card rewards.
Pay by Phone
You can call and make a payment through Target’s automated phone system. The number depends on which version of the card you carry:
- Target Circle Credit Card: 1-800-424-6888
- Target Circle Mastercard: 1-612-815-9922
- Target Circle Debit Card: 1-888-729-7331
Have your card number and bank account information ready. The automated system walks you through submitting a payment. If you need additional help, you can speak with a representative during business hours. TTY users can reach relay service by dialing 711.
Pay by Mail
To mail a payment, send a check or money order (made payable to Target Card Services) along with the payment stub from your billing statement to:
Target Card Services
P.O. Box 660170
Dallas, TX 75266-0170
Mail payments take the longest to process, so send yours at least seven to ten days before your due date to avoid a late fee. Write your account number on the check so the payment is applied to the correct account. Note that Target does not accept personal checks for in-store purchases, but checks mailed to this address for credit card payments are standard practice.
Pay In Store
You can make a payment on your Target Circle Card at any Target store by visiting the Guest Services desk. Bring your card or account number and pay with cash or a debit card. Target GiftCards cannot be used to make a payment toward your Target Circle Card balance. Keep your receipt as proof of payment.
For in-store payments, be aware that the store’s operating hours determine your cutoff time. If you’re paying on the due date itself, arrive well before the store closes to make sure the payment counts as on time.
Payment Deadlines and Late Fees
Federal rules require credit card companies to treat your payment as on time if it arrives by 5 p.m. on the due date, measured in the time zone listed on your billing statement. If your due date falls on a Sunday or federal holiday, you have until 5 p.m. on the next business day. Card issuers can set their own reasonable cutoff times for online payments, so check your statement or account page for the exact deadline.
Payments received after the cutoff are considered late, which means a late fee on your next statement and potential damage to your credit. The simplest way to avoid this is to set up autopay for at least the minimum payment. You can always make an additional manual payment on top of autopay if you want to pay more in a given month.
Which Method Is Fastest
Online and app payments are the quickest to post, usually within one to two business days. Phone payments process on a similar timeline. In-store payments are credited relatively quickly since they’re handled directly. Mail is the slowest option and the riskiest if you’re close to your due date.
If your payment is due today or tomorrow, use the online portal, the app, or visit a store. Mailing a check at that point will almost certainly result in a late payment.
