Google saves your credit and debit cards in several places, and the quickest way to see all of them is to visit pay.google.com and click the “Payment methods” tab. That central hub shows every card tied to your Google Account. But cards also live inside Chrome’s autofill settings and the Google Wallet app, so where you look depends on what you’re trying to do.
Check Your Google Account Online
The fastest method works from any browser on any device:
- Go to pay.google.com
- Sign in with your Google Account if prompted
- Click Payment methods in the top navigation
This page displays every card you’ve saved to your Google Account, including cards used for Google Play purchases, YouTube subscriptions, Google One storage, and any other Google service that charged a payment method. You’ll see the card type, the last four digits, and the expiration date. From here you can also remove a card or update its details.
View Cards Saved in Chrome on Desktop
Chrome stores payment methods separately in its autofill system. These are cards you’ve saved when Chrome offered to remember your card number during online checkout. To find them:
- Open Chrome on your computer
- Click your Profile icon in the top-right corner
- Select Passwords and autofill, then Payment methods
You’ll see a list of every card Chrome has stored. Each entry shows the card network, last four digits, and expiration. To the right of any card, click the three-dot menu to edit or delete it. You can also add a new card manually by clicking “Add” next to the Payment methods heading.
If you’re signed into Chrome with your Google Account and sync is turned on, these cards will appear on every device where you use Chrome with the same account. If a card is missing on one device, make sure you’re signed into the same Google Account and that sync is enabled in Chrome’s settings.
View Cards in Chrome on Android or iPhone
The mobile version of Chrome keeps its own payment methods page:
- Open the Chrome app
- Tap the three-dot menu (top right on Android, bottom right on iPhone)
- Tap Settings, then Payment methods
This screen lists your saved cards and lets you edit or delete them the same way the desktop version does. Make sure “Save and fill payment methods” is toggled on if you want Chrome to offer saving new cards in the future.
View Cards in Google Wallet
If you use Google Wallet for tap-to-pay at stores, your cards are managed inside the Wallet app on your phone. Open the app and you’ll see your cards on the home screen. Swipe left to browse through them. Tap any card to see its details, and tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner for options like removing it.
One important distinction: removing a card from Google Wallet on one device only removes it from that specific device. It doesn’t delete the card from your Google Account or from other phones where you’ve added it.
Find Virtual Card Numbers
Google can generate virtual card numbers for eligible cards, which substitute a temporary number during online purchases so your real card number stays private. If you’ve enabled virtual cards, you can manage them in two places.
In Chrome’s mobile app, go to Settings, then Payment methods. Cards with virtual numbers enabled will show the option. Tap the three-dot menu next to a virtual card to turn it off. On desktop or any browser, go to wallet.google.com, click Payment methods, and select a card. The details screen lists any virtual cards associated with it across your devices. Only the last four digits of the virtual number are shown, but you can click through to your card issuer’s website for the full details.
Not every card supports virtual numbers. If you don’t see the option on a particular card, it means your bank or card issuer hasn’t enabled the feature for that card.
Why a Card Might Not Appear
If you’re sure you saved a card but can’t find it, the most common cause is being signed into a different Google Account. Many people have more than one, and a card saved under one account won’t show up under another. Check which account you’re logged into by clicking your profile picture in the top-right corner of Chrome or at pay.google.com.
Another possibility is that the card was saved only locally in Chrome without sync turned on. In that case, it exists on just one device. You can check sync status in Chrome’s settings under “You and Google” or “Sync and Google services.” Turning sync on will push your locally saved payment methods to your Google Account so they appear everywhere.
Cards can also disappear if they’ve expired and Google automatically removed them, or if you previously deleted them from one of the pages described above. If the card is still valid and you simply need it back, you can add it again manually through Chrome’s payment methods page or at pay.google.com.
