How to See Your Card Number on the Chase App

You can view your full card number directly in the Chase Mobile app without needing your physical card. The process takes about 30 seconds and works for both credit and debit cards linked to your Chase account, though the exact steps differ slightly depending on which type of card you have.

Finding Your Card Number in the Chase App

Open the Chase Mobile app on your phone and sign in. From the main screen, tap on the account associated with the card whose number you need. Look for an option to view your card details, often shown as a small card icon or a “Show card number” link near the top of the account screen. You may also find it by tapping the three-dot menu or the card image itself.

Chase will ask you to verify your identity before displaying the full number. This typically means re-entering your password, using Face ID, Touch ID, or confirming a security code. Once verified, the app displays your full 16-digit card number, expiration date, and CVV (the three-digit security code on the back of your card). You can copy the number directly from the screen, which is useful when filling in online checkout forms.

If You Have a Digital-First or Numberless Card

Some Chase cards are issued without a printed number on the physical card. If yours is one of these, the app is the primary place to find your card details. Open the app, go to your account, and tap “See card” or “Card details” on the home screen. Your full card number, expiration date, and CVV will appear there. This is by design: keeping the number off the physical card reduces the risk of someone copying it if your card is lost or stolen.

When the Card Number Isn’t Showing

If you only see the last four digits of your card number and no option to reveal the rest, a few things could be going on. First, make sure your app is updated to the latest version. Chase periodically rolls out features that may not appear on older versions. Second, check that you’re looking at the right account. If you have multiple cards, each one has its own detail screen.

If you recently opened the account or requested a replacement card, the full number may not be available in the app until the card has been activated. Activate your card first, either through the app, by calling the number on the sticker attached to your card, or by making a purchase with the chip or PIN, then check again.

Other Ways to Find Your Card Number

If the app isn’t cooperating, you have a few backup options. The most obvious is the physical card itself, where the 16-digit number is printed or embossed on the front or back. You can also log into your Chase account through a web browser at chase.com, navigate to your account, and look for card details there.

If your card has been lost or stolen and you need the number urgently for a pending transaction, calling the number on the back of any other Chase card or dialing Chase customer service directly will connect you with someone who can verify your identity and provide account details over the phone.

Adding Your Card to a Digital Wallet

If you need your card number specifically to make a purchase, you may not need the number at all. The Chase app lets you add your card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay directly from the account screen. Tap the wallet icon or look for “Add to wallet” in your card’s settings. Once added, you can use your phone to pay at any store that accepts contactless payments, and for online purchases, the digital wallet autofills your payment information without requiring you to type in the card number.
