How to Write a Marina Manager Resume

Here’s how to write a resume of your own.

Write Compelling Bullet Points

Bullet points are the most effective way to showcase your experience and qualifications. And when it comes to bullet points, the more specific and detailed you can be, the better.

For example, rather than saying you “managed marina operations,” you could say that you “oversaw daily operations of marina, including cleaning docks, stocking supplies, and scheduling repairs for boats in dry dock.”

The second bullet point is much more specific and provides more detail about what exactly you did and the results of your work.

Identify and Include Relevant Keywords

Chances are, your resume will be scanned by an applicant tracking system (ATS) for certain keywords related to the job you’re applying for. If your resume doesn’t include enough of the right terms, your application might not make it past the initial screening process.

One way to make sure you have the right keywords on your resume is to use a keyword search tool like the one below. Enter the terms you think might be relevant for your job into the box and then scan through your resume to add them where they’re most relevant.

  • Customer Service

Showcase Your Technical Skills

As a marina manager, you will need to be proficient in the use of various software programs in order to effectively manage your marina. These programs might include marina management software, accounting software, and boat maintenance software. Additionally, you will need to be familiar with the various systems used at your marina, such as the dock system, the mooring system, and the boat launch system.
