1. Do you have any experience working in the pharmaceutical industry?

This question is a great way for the interviewer to learn more about your background and how it relates to this role. If you have experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, share what that was like and why you enjoyed it. If you don’t have any experience, consider sharing an example of a time when you worked with a team to solve a problem or complete a task.

Example: “I actually worked at a pharmacy while I was in college. It was a small shop, but we had a lot of fun there. We were always busy, so I learned a lot about customer service and efficiency. The best part was getting to know my customers and helping them find exactly what they needed.”

2. What are your thoughts on healthcare reform?

Healthcare reform is a hot topic in the news, and employers want to know how you feel about it. They may ask this question to see if you are aware of current events and what your opinions are on them. When answering this question, make sure you stay professional. You can share your thoughts without being too controversial or opinionated.

Example: “I think healthcare reform is important because our country needs to find ways to provide affordable care for everyone. I believe that we should be able to do this while still maintaining quality care. I would like to work at a company that supports these goals as well.”

3. How would you handle a customer who was unhappy with their purchase?

This question can help interviewers understand how you handle customer complaints. It’s important to be empathetic and use your problem-solving skills to find a solution that makes the customer happy while also protecting the company from losing money on an unsatisfactory purchase.

Example: “I would first apologize for their dissatisfaction with the product, then I’d ask them what they didn’t like about it. If there was something wrong with the product itself, I would offer to replace it or give them a refund. If they were unhappy because of the taste or texture, I would explain our return policy and offer to exchange it for another flavor.”

4. Can you tell me about a time when you had to deal with an upset customer?

This question can help the interviewer understand how you handle conflict and stress. Use examples from your previous experience to show that you have excellent customer service skills.

I listened to what they were saying, asked them questions about why they felt this way and apologized for any inconvenience. After finding out more information, I discovered that the product they purchased wasn’t in stock at our location. I offered to give them a discount on another item or refund their money. They chose the latter option and left happy.”

I would greet every customer as soon as they walked into the store, whether it was in person or over the phone. In my previous role, I worked in a pharmacy where we had long lines of customers waiting to speak with us. I always made sure to greet everyone who came up to the counter with a smile. I would listen carefully to what they were saying and try to understand any concerns or questions they had.

If I didn’t know the answer to something, I would look it up on our computer system or call another pharmacist for advice. I also used my knowledge of pharmacology to explain medications and side effects to customers. By using these skills, I was able to help many customers feel more confident about taking their medication.”
